BEHAVIOR MANAGEMENT
We will be using CLASSDOJO to monitor student behavior. The following rules will be implemented in a consistent manner in order to provide the students with the excellent educational climate they deserve: 1. Follow directions the first time given. 2. Keep hands, feet and objects to yourself. 3. Be kind with your words and actions. 4. Raise your hand before speaking and wait to be called upon. 5. Do not leave your seat without permission unless it is an emergency. 6. Be safe: walk at all times. I am using a website called Class Dojo to record, monitor, and report student behavior. It is a free website where teachers can set up the behaviors they would like to monitor and award positive and negative points to each student. Only parents and teachers of the students can see this information. Students will earn or lose points throughout the day for the behavior listed on our class Dojo page. We will track points for the following behaviors which you can see when you log on to www.classdojo.com with your username and password. Information will be sent home. POSITIVE POINTS BEHAVIORS:
Daily Student Expectations: 1. Students must come to school every day and on time. 2. Students must wear the Ben Sheppard Elementary School uniform every day. 3. Students must bring all school supplies, completed home learning assignments, forms or letters, given every day. 4. Students must follow classroom and school rules every day. 5. Parents must sign the home learning every day. THE FOLLOWING REWARDS WILL BE IN PLACE (Points may be accumulated) 15 points: Choose to bring a favorite book and read it to the class. 25 points: Bring a stuffed animal to school for a day. 50 points: Teacher’s Helper 75 points: No Home Learning pass for ONE SUBJECT for ONE DAY 100 points: Bring a board game for recess 200 points: No Home Learning pass for ONE WHOLE NIGHT 250 points: Extra computer time during recess (appropriate sites) 300 points: Lunch with teacher 500 points: Watch a movie during lunchtime. THE FOLLOWING CONSEQUENCES WILL BE IN PLACE: Think About It: a warning will be given Teacher’s Choice: student will be in time-out for 5 minutes Parent Contact: I will communicate through ClassDojo or by phone. IF A STUDENT IS CONSISTENTLY IN THE NEGATIVE, HE/SHE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PARTICIPATE IN FIELD TRIPS NOR IN ANY SCHOOL EVENTS. |

Estaremos utilizando CLASSDOJO para monitorear el comportamiento de los estudiantes. Las siguientes reglas serán implementadas en una manera constante para poder proveerles a los alumnos el excelente ambiente educacional que merecen: 1. Sigue las direcciones la primera vez que se den. 2. Mantén tus manos, tus pies u objetos a ti mismo.. 3. Sé amable con tus palabras y acciones. 4. Levanta tú mano antes de hablar y espera a que te llamen. 5. No te levantes de tú asiento sin permiso a menos que sea una emergencia. 6. Mantente salvo de peligro: camina siempre Estoy utilizando un sitio web llamado clase Dojo para anotar, monitorear y reportar el comportamiento del estudiante. Es un sitio web gratuito donde maestros pueden establecer las conductas que les gustaría controlar y otorgar puntos positivos y negativos a cada estudiante. Sólo los padres y maestros de los estudiantes pueden ver esta información. Los estudiantes ganan o pierden puntos durante todo el día por el comportamiento indicado en nuestra página web de clase Dojo. Haremos el seguimiento de puntos para los siguientes comportamientos que ustedes pueden ver al entrar en www.classdojo.com con su nombre de usuario y contraseña. Información se enviará a casa. PUNTOS POSITIVOS DE COMPORTAMIENTOS:
Expectaciones diarias para los alumnos: Listos para Aprender: 1. Los alumnos deben asistir a la escuela todos los días y a tiempo. 2. Los alumnos deben vestir todos los días con el uniforme de la Escuela Ben Sheppard Elementary. 3. Los alumnos deben traer todos los días, todos sus útiles escolares, tareas terminadas, y las planillas o cartas que se les entreguen para firmar. 4. Los alumnos deben obedecer las reglas del aula y de la escuela todos los días. 5. Los Padres deben firmar los deberes de aprendizaje todos los días. LAS RECOMPENSAS SERÁN LAS SIGUIENTES: (Pueden acumular los puntos) 15 puntos: escoge entre traer su libro favorito y leer a la clase 25 puntos: traer un animal de peluche a la escuela por un día. 50 puntos: ayudante de la maestra 75 puntos: un pase para NO tener deberes de aprendizaje en UNA ASIGNATURA por UN DIA. 100 puntos: traer un juego de mesa para el recreo. 200 puntos: un pase para No tener deberes de aprendizaje por TODA UNA NOCHE. 250 puntos: Extra tiempo en la computadora durante el recreo (sitios apropiados). 300 puntos: almuerzo con la maestra. 500 puntos: Ver una película mientras almuerzan. LAS CONSECUENCIAS SERÁN LAS SIGUIENTES: Piénsalo: una advertencia será dada. Opción de la Maestra: se sentarán separados del grupo (time-out) por 5 minutos. Contacto con los Padres: la maestra se pondrá en contacto a través de ClassDojo o por teléfono. SI ALGÚN ESTUDIANTE ESTÁ CONSTANTEMENTE EN NEGATIVO, NO PODRÁ PARTICIPAR EN VIAJES DE ETUDIOS NI EN OTROS EVENTOS EN LA ESCUELA. |
